Jennifer Jones

I believe that education is the foundation to a better future. It is my hope that I can instill a love of learning in children and help them realize the possibilities that await them.

I graduated from MTSU in 2007 with my degree in Elementary Education. In 2013, I received my Master's degree from Arkansas State University. I graduated with an Educational Specialist degree in 2018.

I live in Mt. Pleasant with my husband Chris. We have two children, Evan and Amber. In my spare time, I enjoy reading and word games.

Neil King

I graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 1999. I began working at Mt. Pleasant Elementary in 2000. I’ve spent my career teaching 3rd, 4th and 5th grade. When I’m not at school, I enjoy spending time with my wife, two girls, son in law, grandson, and granddaughter. I also enjoy Tennessee Football, St. Louis Cardinals, and spending time outside.

Allison Kittrell

I have taught at MPES since 2012.  I graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a K-6 Endorsement in Elementary Education. It is my hope to create a love for learning in the classroom by providing an environment that is safe, supports risk taking, and invites a sharing of ideas. I look forward to another wonderful year at Mt Pleasant Elementary and the opportunity to grow and learn with the students, teachers, and parents!

I was born and raised in Maury County. My husband, Zach and I have four daughters. We have a granddaughter and 2 grandsons. I love to garden, mow the yard, and plant flowers. I have two dogs and enjoy walking at the park with them.

Angela Knight

I began teaching at Mt. Pleasant Elementary in 1999. I have taught first, second, and fourth grades.  My higher education began at Walker College in Jasper, AL where I received my Associate in Science degree. Next, I attended The University of Mississippi to complete my Bachelor of Arts in Education degree. After teaching at MPES for a few years, I returned to college at MTSU to seek a Master’s in Education degree. I consider myself to be a lifelong learner and chose to, once again, return to a college classroom in 2012. I completed the Education Specialist’s Degree program at Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA in 2014.

I live in Lawrenceburg, TN.  In my spare time, I enjoy camping and spending time with my two dogs.

Alisa Mote

It’s been said that winding roads lead to the most wonderful destinations. I’m so glad that they led me to Mt. Pleasant Elementary!

I graduated from Harding University in 1991, and I have taught Kindergarten through 7thgrade. This is my 6thyear teaching 4thgrade. My husband, Leslie and I have three children, Allen, Malori and Chase. We, also, have two dogs, Toby and Coach. I love to read and spend time with my family and friends!

I believe that it is our job to meet children where they are,  and push them to achieve more than they ever thought they could. I hope that our students will never stop questioning what they don’t know, learning from others, and growing from their experiences!

I’m looking forward to another great year at MPES!!!
