Title I Staff

Linda Loyd, Academic Facilitator

I’m currently the Academic Facilitator at Mt. Pleasant Elementary. After graduating from Middle Tennessee University and completing my K-8 certification from University of Alabama, I began teaching. Then received my Masters in Curriculum from Trevecca University and received my plus 30 in Curriculum and Instruction. I’ve spent the bulk of my teaching career teaching in Lawrence County Schools in K-3 classrooms. Eight years ago I decided to move to Maury County and I began teaching at Highland Park Elementary as an Academic Facilitator and now I am currently here doing the same job! There isn’t anything I dislike at Mt. Pleasant Elementary. I truly enjoy the culture, atmosphere of students and teachers, and how intentional their teachers are in making sure every child is learning.

When I’m not at Mt. Pleasant Elementary, I enjoy spending time with my husband of forty-two years and we are blessed to have three children that are married. We get to enjoy 6 grandchildren who call me “Granna.” I also enjoy reading, journaling, and growing flowers.

Stephanie Plunkett, Title Teacher

Stephanie graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 2003 with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. While working for Maury County Public schools, she obtained her Master’s degree in Administration and Supervision from Tennessee State University. Stephanie was born and raised in Mt. Pleasant; therefore, she has a true connection to the children and community. When not at school, she can be found loving on her three boys Evan, Easton, and Colton.
