Linda Clark

My 23 year teaching career began as a director/teacher of a pre-school learning center in New Jersey for six years followed by eleven years teaching elementary grades 2 and 3 and 5th and 6th grade math.  I am dual certified in elementary and early childhood education and hold a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction.  I have been employed at Maury County Schools for six years and have been at my current position as a Pre-K teacher for five years.  Prior to my current position I was the Title I Facilitator for Randolph Howell Elementary School.  Aside from teaching, I have coached middle school cross country and softball, swimming and elementary cross country.  I am passionate about running and fitness and spend much of my spare time exercising and practicing healthy living.  This past year I received a grant for a community garden.  After much planning and preparation, the community garden at Mt. Pleasant Elementary School was created, expanding our indoor classrooms to include a hands on outdoor space for learning.  My vision was to provide students with the opportunity to experience garden to table activities that incorporate all subjects and to involve parents in the process.

I live in Columbia with my husband, three dachshunds and cat.  My three adult children live in New Jersey, Texas and Hawaii, all wonderful places to visit.  I also enjoy spending time floating on the Tennessee River with my husband.
