MPES Fourth Grade

Jennifer Jones

Hello! I am Jennifer Jones, and I have the greatest job in the world. I get to teach children and encourage them to reach their highest potential! I believe that education is the foundation for a better future.

I am entering my 10th year as a teacher and my 5th year at MPES. I attended Columbia State Community College, followed by MTSU where I received my degree in Elementary Education. I received a Master's degree from Arkansas State University in 2013.

I live in Mt. Pleasant with my husband Chris. Our son is a freshman in college and our daughter is in 8th grade. In my spare time, I like to read and I like to run. I look forward to another great year of teaching and learning at MPES!

Allison Kittrell

I’m Allison Kittrell, and I am completing my fourth year at Mt. Pleasant Elementary. I have taught first and second grade. I graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a K-6 Endorsement in Elementary Education. It is my hope to create a love for learning in the classroom by providing an environment that is safe, supports risk taking, and invites a sharing of ideas. I look forward to another wonderful year at Mt Pleasant Elementary and the opportunity to grow and learn with the students, teachers, and parents!

I was born and raised in Maury County. My husband, Zach and I have four daughters. We have a granddaughter and a grandson. I love to garden, mow the yard, and plant flowers. I have two dogs and enjoy walking at the park with them.

Angie Lindsey

Hello! I'm Angie Lindsey and I will be your child’s fourth grade teacher this year. We have an exciting year ahead that will be filled with lots to explore, experience, and learn!

I received my professional teacher training and Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Lipscomb University in 2011. This is my 5th year at MPES.   I am also an MPES and MPHS alumnus!  It is an honor to have the opportunity to teach in the very elementary school that I attended as a child.

I have one daughter who is a sixth grader at MPMS.  In my spare time, you can find me cheering on the MPMS Tigers, since my daughter is an MPMS cheerleader... Go Tigers! Also, I love to bake and spend time with my family.

I am looking forward to another exciting year of learning and growing from both myself and my students here at MPES!

Angela Knight

I have been a teacher at Mt. Pleasant Elementary for the past 17 years and will begin my 18th year of teaching, and 2nd year in 4th grade, the fall of 2016. My education began at Walker College in Jasper, AL where I received my Associate in Science degree. Next, I attended The University of Mississippi to complete my Bachelor of Arts in Education degree. After teaching at MPES for a few years, I returned to college at MTSU to seek a Master’s in Education degree. I consider myself to be a lifelong learner and chose to, once again, return to a college classroom in 2012. I completed the Education Specialist’s Degree program at Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA in 2014 and am now at the end of my terminal degree in education at Liberty. I am working on my dissertation and hope to finish the Doctorate of Education Degree in 2017. Mt. Pleasant has been an excellent community in which to teach and I have enjoyed every minute. I look forward to another year teaching a great group of 4th graders!

Danielle Roberts

I'm Danielle Roberts, and I am excited to start my 5th year here at Mt. Pleasant Elementary School and my 10th year in education. At a young age I always knew I wanted to become a teacher. After high school, I attended Middle Tennessee State University where I graduated with a degree in elementary education. Today, it is my goal to motivate all of my students to love learning and to encourage them to strive to reach their full potential in an environment that is safe and celebrates each student's uniqueness and achievements. Teaching is my number one passion, but I also love the outdoors and am an avid fan of football, especially the Tennessee Vols...Go Big Orange! I look forward to another wonderful year here at MPES!
