MPES First Grade

Brooke Lovett

BL

At a very young age I knew I wanted to be a teacher. I guess you can say teaching runs in my blood.

After graduating from Mt. Pleasant High School in 2000 I attended Columbia State Community College and I later transferred to Martin Methodist in Pulaski, Tennessee. I graduated from Martin Methodist in May 2005. After graduation I returned home to my beloved alma matter and began teaching Kindergarten, over the next seven years I began to fall in love with teaching reading and writing. I am a huge supporter of Daily Five and Writing across the curriculum. Next, I moved on to teach First and Second grades. I have always loved being in the classroom, there is nowhere else I’d rather be. I am currently beginning my 12th year at MPES!

My dream is to continue to share my love of education and learning with young people. When I’m not teaching school I enjoy spending time with my husband Blake and our daughter Ansley. We currently live in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee and on the weekends we enjoy playing outside, swimming, and going to ballgames.

Tina Keeler

Hi! My name is Tina Keeler and this is my first year teaching at Mt. Pleasant Elementary.  I am looking forward to an amazing year in first grade!

I graduated from the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma in August, 2000 with a degree in Elementary Education.  I grew up in Oklahoma, lived in Texas for 13 years, and moved to Tennessee 3 years ago. I have 3 wonderful daughters, one in high school, one in middle school, and one starting kindergarten this year. We LOVE Maury County Public Schools!

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.  I love camping and being in the mountains; Colorado is my favorite!  I also enjoy watching volleyball, taking care of my farm animals, and crafting.

I am delighted to be a part of the Mt. Pleasant Elementary first grade team and I look forward to getting to know your family!

Kasey Ring

Hello! I’m Kasey Ring and I am excited to start my 2nd year at MPES. I had a great first year last year and I know this will be a great year as well. I got my Associates from Columbia State Community College and my Bachelors from Middle Tennessee State University with their 2+2 program.

I grew up in Culleoka and attended Culleoka Unit School. After college my husband and I got married and moved to Alabama for his job. During that time I worked at daycare in Athens and taught the four year old class and during the summer I would have the school age children. After living there for 5 years we decided we wanted to move back to Culleoka and raise our family here. We have a daughter (Payton) who will be 4 in August and a son (Bently) who is 1.

If any of you have any questions please feel free to contact me at kring@mauryk12.org
